US voters in Washington can now register using Facebook
Software developer Microsoft has developed an application which will allow citizens in the state of Washington to register as voters using their Facebook accounts. The application becomes part of a user’s Facebook account, allowing to him to provide the necessary information to become a registered voter in Washington.
Why do some people take their right to Suffrage for granted? That guy eating pizza while hooked on the Internet all day probably doesn’t even care about his right to Suffrage, or what Suffrage is. It’s your right to vote! Your ancestors bled for that! Oh well, people in the government readily agree that the average American probably spends more time for Facebook, instead of knowing whom to vote in the coming US Elections. So Washington came up with this innovative idea: register voters through Facebook.
That means no more driving out to an elementary school, getting in line, and sacrificing several hours in a day just to get registered. It remains to be seen if the US government will eventually develop a system that will allow online voting through Facebook. Looks like more good news for Mark Zuckerberg and the rest of the Facebook crew!
