Lenovo to release tablet featuring Windows 8 Pro, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2
As the world awaits the release of Windows 8, some companies have hopped on to the Win 8 hype with devices that feature the upcoming OS from Microsoft. Lenovo has joined the Win8 fever with its upcoming tablet equipped with Windows 8 Pro, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2.
Measuring at 10.3 x 6.5 x .39 inches and weighing 1.3 lbs., the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 features an Intel Atom processor. The 10.1 inch touchscreen display has stylus support for those who are better adept at using a light pen. For Internet connectivity, it has Wi-Fi support, 3G HSPA+, LTE for AT&T subscribers, and Lenovo Mobile Access. There are two cameras, front(2 MP) and back (8 MP). The ThinkPad Tablet 2 also will feature an optional keyboard and dock if you wish to transform it into a desktop.
As of date, Lenovo has yet to release any pricing information on the ThinkPad Tablet 2. The company has announced that the tablet will be released in October, synchronized with the public unveiling of Windows 8.
