Google+ Gets Video Status Updates

Google+ now lets +users share video using upload option.

Well, this might be classic for Facebook users since the feature has been available around 2010 IMO. Similar with Facebook, Google+ lets users record a video via their webcam and attached it as part of their status updates.

According to ReadWriteWeb, this feature has been available to Google’s video sharing site Youtube.

This kind of personal broadcasting is something YouTube is known for, but now informal video updates can be shared straight to Google+ circles. The Google+ stream allows all kinds of in-your-face content, including animated GIFs and Google Music players, and now it adds impromptu video updates to the mix.

Aside from video directly from you webcam, +Users can also share Youtube videos without leaving Google+ window. A pop-up window will let users search for Youtube video to share and add them to their status update.

I’ve been visiting once my Google+ account once in while but the crowd I enjoy in Facebook still not around. But with continued development, I’m still hopeful that Google+ will really turned into a “social” site.
