Google acquires Wildfire and employs Arielle Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg

Google is seemingly gearing up to compete against social networking giant Facebook. First they acquired Wildfire, a company dealing in Social Media Marketing. In the process, Google also took into its fold Arielle Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Google and Facebook have become direct competitors in a couple of year’s time in various ways, like Facebook competing against Google Plus for instance. With the acquisition of Wildfire and Arielle Zuckerberg now contributing input to Google, the company has seemingly upped the ante against the social network giant.

Arielle has never shied from criticizing Facebook. She posted a blog way back in September 2011 wherein she gave her thoughts about Facebook. The post can be read here.

With the acquisition of Wildfire and the employing of Arielle Zuckerberg, it will be exciting to see what will Google unveil in the coming months in the social networking arena.
