Dropbox online cloud 5 GB storage offered free
As the world shifts to cloud computing and cloud storage, there’s a new race in the World Wide Web. Who can offer the best online cloud storage for free! Currently there’s Microsoft Skydrive and Google Drive. And now Dropbox joins the Cloud Storage Competition.
Dropbox, an online storage utility, recently made upgrades to their photo uploader by increasing the storage capacity to 5 GB. In doing so, Dropbox is able to match the cloud storage service of Google Drive. Registration with DropBox is free and entitles you to an online storage of 2 GB. It then syncs folders from your smartphone, computer or digital camera and stores them online.
Dropbox should put pressure on Google Drive. The latter went up last Wednesday and is also free but is not yet totally available to the public. Serving as an online 5GB drive for photos coming from your computer and mobile devices, that’s quite more than enough.
