April Fool’s Day : Gmail Motion
Obviously Gmail Motion is yet another April Fool’s Day pranks of Google. How can I not doubt the supposed or let say imaginary software.
From the presentation, it was very interesting and no one will doubt the authenticity of the product. Until you reach 0:50 of the video, when the interpreter licks her thumb to send the email.
Here’s a details how the apps works as explained from the Google Motion Youtube video.
Simple. Using your computer webcam and a “spatial tracking algorithm,” Gmail Motion drafts emails according to your movements. To open a message, you make a motion with your hands as if you’re opening an envelope. To reply, point backward over your shoulder with your thumb. To reply all, point backward with both thumbs.
Google never failed to make us laugh. You might also want to check out April Fool’s Day Prank: Comic Sans Google and how bout Google Docs Motion Beta, the doc application of Google.
