Apple’s iPad Mini coming soon in September?
Barely a month after the iPad 3 came out, there’s a new rumor blooming and just won’t die. Is there going to be an iPad Mini? If so, has Apple began production? And when will this new tablet come out? The answers to these questions may have finally come, and the rumors may have now become fact.
Reports have come that Apple will be releasing the iPad Mini maybe September this year. The iPad Mini will have a 7.85-inch screen capable of a resolution of 1024 x 768. And because of the small screen size, it won’t have any Retina display. The smaller iPad is also said to have a price range of $249 to $299.
What is interesting about the rumor is that the late Steve Jobs totally disagreed with the idea of a smaller iPad. According to Jobs, the small size would not only limit the tablet’s display capabilities but also other features, thus making it mediocre and average. It won’t be a “great tablet”, said Jobs.
Yet reports state factories have already been prepped for production of the upcoming iPad Mini. Manufacturers Foxconn and Pegatron are said to have received orders from Apple for the mini tablet’s production, contrary to the whims of Steve Jobs.
