Amazing Alex game for iPhone and iPad a big hit on Apple store charts

Months back, we reported that Rovio‘s next game after Angry Birds Space would be Amazing Alex, a physics puzzle game for Apple’s iOS. Back then, we had no idea yet what would Amazing Alex look like, other than the hint that it would be like Casey’s Contraption.

Upon release last Friday,  Amazing Alex has made breakthrough sales especially at the Apple Store. It topped the charts both for the iPhone and the iPad in more than 30 countries. The Android version of Amazing Alex was also a big hit, placing #5 on the Google Play Store.
